Questions & Answers
- How far in advance should we book our entertainment?
If you agree the entertainment service you choose will have a large impact on your reception, than the earlier the
better. We recommend reserving your entertainment service as soon as you reserve your reception hall. This will allow
you to pick the service you want and not the last company who has your date available. (This concept should be
considered for all your wedding related services.)
- What kind of selections and variety of music does Rolling Sounds have?
Rolling Sounds proudly boasts one of the largest CD library's from which our clients can choose from. Our music
covers all the different types of music from the 30's to today's current music. All of our music is on the
digital compact disc (CD) format for the best sound quality possible.
- Does your service offer a music list to help us choose songs?
Definitely, we have compiled a very comprehensive song list separated into groups and era's to make it easy to choose
your songs. This song list is constantly updated to include the most popular and current songs. We also provide our
clients with a 2nd song list specifically for special songs like the father and daughter dance, mother
and son dance, bridal party dance and many more.
- What if we choose a song that's not on your music list?
Our song list is only a fraction of our library so there is a good chance we will have the song you want. If you're
looking for a song that's not on our list, please add it to your request's as we probably have it in our library.
If the requested song is not part of our library, we will make every available effort to locate your song.
- How many songs should we choose for our reception?
This really depends on you. We have had many different types of clients over the years. Some prefer to have the disc
jockey choose the majority of the music, while others prefer to have a lot more input. As a rule of thumb, we
usually suggest the client choose 15 - 25 dance songs. If you have more suggestions, please feel free to include
them.
- If I do choose some of the music, will my requests actually get played?
Almost every disc jockey service will accept requests from the bride & groom, but playing them is sometimes a
different story. We make every effort to play as many of your requests as possible. We also do a great job of
playing any requests we receive from your guests.
- Can we provide the DJ with a song that's not part of your library?
Yes, any song that makes your event more personal and fun for your guests is icing on the cake. We simply ask, that any
songs provided be on a compact disc (CD).
- When should we submit our music selections to Rolling Sounds?
We ask that you return your music selections and the questionnaire to Rolling Sounds (30) days before your event. This
allows us time to discuss any selections with you.
